Privacy Policy

Signerlabs (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Spotby app and this website. This policy explains what data Spotby collects, why we collect it, where it is stored, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what the product needs to work:

• Account data — when you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple account identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address. You can also browse as an anonymous guest, in which case only a random identifier is created.
• Profile data — a display name and avatar, if you choose to set them.
• Approximate location — used only to center the map and show recommendations around your city or neighbourhood. We do not track your precise movements and we do not keep a location history.
• Links you submit — public TikTok video links you paste into the app to import a spot.
• Activity — recommenders you follow, spots you save, and recommendations you like.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising trackers.

2. How We Use It

• To provide the core service: resolving submitted links into places, building your personal map, and syncing it across your devices.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service, including preventing abuse and limiting import volume.
• To tell you about important changes to the service, if you have shared an email address.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your account and app data are stored with Supabase in Singapore. Media files and our application servers run on Cloudflare infrastructure in the United States and Singapore, and content may transit Cloudflare’s global network for delivery.

4. Third-Party Processors

We share data with a small number of service providers, each only to the extent needed:

• Cloudflare — application hosting, media storage, and content delivery (US & Singapore).
• Supabase — database and authentication (Singapore).
• Google Maps Platform — resolving place names, addresses, and coordinates.
• TikHub — retrieving public metadata for the TikTok links you submit.
• Google Gemini — extracting recommendation details (spot names, dishes, summaries) from public video content.
• RevenueCat — subscription management, once paid subscriptions launch.

5. Public TikTok Content

Recommendations in Spotby are aggregated from public TikTok videos. Creator names and avatars are shown as attribution, and every recommendation links back to the original video. If you are a creator and would like your content removed, email us and we will take it down.

6. Retention & Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time directly inside the app; this permanently removes your account and the personal data linked to it. You can also email us to request deletion.

7. Children

Spotby is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date at the top.
