Terms of Service

Welcome to Spotby, operated by Signerlabs (“we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading or using the Spotby app, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Spotby is a map app that aggregates food-and-drink recommendations from public TikTok videos. Paste a link, and Spotby turns it into a spot on your map — with the recommendation attributed to its original creator and linked back to the source video. You can follow recommenders, save spots, and use your map to decide where to go next.

2. Accounts

You can browse Spotby as an anonymous guest. Signing in with Apple is required for actions that save data to your account, such as following, saving, liking, and importing. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time inside the app.

3. Acceptable Use

When you submit a TikTok link, you confirm that it points to publicly available content and that submitting it does not violate any law or any third party’s rights. You agree not to:

• submit links to unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content;
• abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to reverse-engineer the service;
• use the service to harass others or to misrepresent a business.

We may decline to process a submission or remove imported content at our discretion.

4. Content & Ownership

• Creator content. Recommendations shown in Spotby are derived from public TikTok videos. The videos and their content belong to their original creators. Spotby displays aggregated summaries with attribution and links back to the original video. Creators can request removal at any time by emailing us.
• Place data. Spot details such as names, addresses, and photos come from third-party sources including Google Maps Platform and remain subject to their terms.
• Your data. Your follows, saves, likes, and profile are yours. Deleting your account removes them.
• Our service. The Spotby software, brand, and design are owned by Signerlabs. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond normal use of the app.

5. Disclaimers

Spot information can be incomplete or out of date — places close, move, and change their menus and hours. Always verify before you go. Recommendations reflect the opinions of their creators; they are not endorsements by Signerlabs, and a business appearing in Spotby does not mean the business endorses Spotby. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signerlabs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

6. Subscriptions

Spotby is currently free. We plan to introduce an optional paid subscription, billed through the App Store, for certain features. Pricing and subscription terms will be published here and in the app before launch, and use of paid features will be subject to those terms.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service. You can stop using Spotby and delete your account at any time.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and continued use of Spotby after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
